Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

"Finvestu" refers to the iOS application of the same name published by BrainHaus s. r. o., a Slovak company (the "app", "we", "our", "us"). This policy applies to the iOS app and to the marketing website at finvestu.app.

2. What data the app collects

The short answer: nothing that leaves your device to our servers.

  • Portfolio scenarios you create (names, contribution amounts, return assumptions, fees, withdrawal plans) are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework.
  • iCloud sync (optional) uses your Apple iCloud account to replicate scenarios across your Apple devices. We have no access to iCloud data — only Apple and you do. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • On-device AI narrative (iOS 26+) uses Apple's Foundation Models framework running locally on your device. Prompts and responses never leave your device and are not logged by Apple or by us.
  • User preferences (language, color scheme, default currency, reminder settings) are stored in the app's UserDefaults on-device.
  • Optional local notifications (monthly savings reminder) are scheduled via Apple's UserNotifications framework and do not send any data off-device.

3. What data the app does NOT collect

  • No analytics, tracking, or telemetry SDKs are shipped in the app.
  • No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are accessed.
  • No crash reporter beyond Apple's built-in, which you control in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics.
  • No network requests to servers we operate.
  • No real market data is fetched — all return rates are user-entered assumptions.

4. Website (finvestu.app)

The marketing website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-preserving analytics service that counts page views in aggregate without cookies, fingerprinting, or personal identifiers. We do not know who you are; we only know that a page was viewed.

The website sets no cookies. Fonts are served via Google Fonts; no account is required to view any page.

5. Data you export

You can export portfolios as .finvestu JSON files, CSV breakdowns, or PDF reports. When you share those files (AirDrop, Mail, Messages, etc.), they leave your device through channels you choose. Finvestu is not involved in that transfer.

6. Children

Finvestu is a calculator for adult financial planning. We do not knowingly target or collect data from children under 16.

7. Data subject rights (GDPR)

Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is nothing on our side to access, rectify, or erase. To remove app data, delete the app from your device; iCloud-synced copies can be removed via iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Finvestu.

8. Changes

If this policy changes, we update the date at the top. Material changes will be called out in the app's release notes.
